Solutions Drive Sales

Check out this video. It was made using a Logitech webcam, and uses visual effects that come with the camera. Supposedly, it has triggered a big run on Logitech cameras.

It shows that the solution (even if it’s silly — or, perhaps because it is silly) is what drives sales.

Here’s a CNET article on the video. The article was written after user enthusiasm drew attention to the solution. This was not a tops-down PR effort but an organic user-generated, shared on the web effort.

A question:
What are you doing to showcase your solution (vs. your product)?

[BTW: I’ve been out of the office at C2ES for a keynote, while also doing some interesting if not harried client work. Sorry for the silence online.]

Demonstrates how much people want to be able to do it themselves - and have options to use or not use. This is similar to permissions. Customers like products that give them the world and then let them filter it as desired.
